Gift Cards are a kind of prepaid card or voucher that can be purchased and given to friends or relatives as a present, so that they can feel free to choose the products they prefer in the most convenient  Store.
Advantages are huge also for the chain, such as the opportunity to acquire new customers, getting cash in advance and gain additional sales as customers will not waste residual amounts.

Gift Cards are still a quite new marketing tool because traditional IT architectures are exposed to fraud risks. The centralized aKite® architecture makes instead possible to immediately control and update from any Store the balance of each single Gift Card in circulation, in real-Internet-time and directly at the POS.

The new customer has therefore maximum freedom in deciding how and where to use his card, experiencing an innovative and emotional service.

Thanks to a “clearing room”, the Gift Card can be used in different participating chains or even in independent shops, possibly of the same mall or town centre.
