aKite for the first time in a Temporary Store

aKite has been chosen by a top world Luxury Groups* for their first PopUpStore opened in Milano from April 13th to 18th 2010, during the international design exhibition “Salone del Mobile”

The so called PopUp or Temporary Store is a new concept that combine Event and Sale in a temporary (from few days to few months) and unconventional location (normally reserved for non commercial use, to be restructured, used by different brands, …).

The event is usually meant to communicate important news, test new products or be present, at least temporarily, in high traffic places or, like in this case, intercept the customers and operators “migration” to Milano from all over the world for “Salone del Mobile” (Design and Furniture Exhibition).

The company, world leader in the Luxury segment, has already a software system for POS and Shop management, but preferred a modern Cloud Computing service, much lighter and simpler for quickly opening new temporary stores in all continents, while maintaining integration with central systems. PopUpStores are seen from their central IT as the regular store with the traditional software.

In top of technical and economical advantages given by Software as a Service (SaaS), aKite has been much simpler also for users. After few minutes downloading from a web page, the POS.net application was up and running and after less than one hour all clerks coming from traditional stores were comfortable with the numerous features, in stark comparison with their previous experience. aKite has been designed for fast deployment from a technical, but also from a human point of view.

In Temporary Stores a key concept is an excellent invitation campaign.
