After the first edition success, the next Italian Cloud Camp will be held in Milano at Bocconi University on May 25th 2010. For info and registration http://www.cloudcamp.org/milano/2010-05-25
The event is defined “unconference” for the informal and highly interactive environment. The goal is to exchange ideas and experiences on the emerging Cloud Computing paradigm.
aKite is the first software for Retail Stores designed from the ground to be delivered “as a Service” from Cloud Computing. It fully exploits the advantages of Microsoft Windows Azure modern Platform as a Service, commercially available in recent times. Among main advantages is the high SLA (Service Level Agreement), not degraded from software updates, patches, hardware failures and all standard problems handled automatically by a software layer. Another advantage is the practically unlimited scalability that allows chains to go on-demand from 10 to 1 000 stores or agility and cooperation made possible by a Service Oriented Architecture.
We will discuss new business models made possible by Cloud Computing from user and service provider point of view, not limited any more by traditional datacenters and from a physical presence around the world for software deployment.
